In addition to due diligence site visits conducted by its board members, The Colombia Project monitors programs through reports that the partners file each month. The repayment rate is a key indicator of both the viability of the projects selected for funding and the effectiveness of the partner in providing the support necessary for successful implementation. In order to receive the next allocation of funds, a partner’s reports must demonstrate that funds received to date have been successfully invested. Partners are also encouraged to send qualitative reports describing how the program is progressing and to provide examples of particularly interesting projects.
