Summary
Luis Eduardo Olave is a farmer and head of a family of 7 who have always made their living from the land. Since they do not own their own farm, they have had to move from place to place. At this point, they would like to join with others to buy land for a jointly-owned farm. Each member of this joint purchase will contribute his or her own individual skills to make the farm productive. The Coffee –growers committee of the Department of Cauca will support them by financing the sowing of 2 hectares of coffee. Through another government program (COAGRAM), they will get help in marketing raw sugar (panela). They plan to pay back the loan within one year.
