Id: L159
Name: ODRI - Roasted Chickens
Type: Small Business Development
Status: Funded
Summary
Audilia requests funds to purchase an oven, coal and chickens to set up a business selling roasted chickens to support herself and her 3 children. She participated in a Cooperative for Beneficiaries of Agrarian Reform, "COOBRA" training program for displaced persons and is also supported by ODRI. Audilia has worked in and visited similar businesses to prepare herself for this project and knows how to obtain good-quality basic supplies such as poultry and charcoal at the most economical prices.
Upon receipt of the loan, it would take a maximum of two months to be in full operation.
She will pay the rent. Once the oven has been installed, minimum projected sales are 50 chickens per week for a return of $175 per week, or $750 monthly, of which 20% ($152) would be profit -- the equivalent of a legally valid minimum monthly wage. The loan will be settled in 12 equal and monthly payments.
