Summary
Because computers provide such great opportunities for increased efficiency and quality, in order to compete successfully in today's world, it has become almost essential for every student and family to own a computer.
However, due to the cost of the computer, peripherals and internet access, many people as well as many educational institutions simply cannot afford the investment. To resolve this problem, there are people who offer transcription services and information searches via the Internet or multimedia encyclopedia. Working from their homes, they can offer these services at a reasonable cost. Public and private institutions’ and households’ need for these services has risen. Due to a lack of economic resources these services are often not available at convenient times or locations. More computer access options are needed to help people carry out their work and research, access e-mail, and access other service that without this tool would be impossible or very difficult to carry out with speed or efficiency. This project is launched with the proposal of offering the community transciption services, information searches via the Internet, and access to e-mail. These services would be affordable to people or entities that do not have the economic resources to obtain this type of technology, but that have a need for one of these devices.
